He Told Them to Go!

I haven't been blogging lately (clearly). I just haven't really felt like it.  Hopefully I'll pull myself out of this soon and get back to it.  I've had some things I could blog about, but are too personal to broadcast, or are just plain boring.

I just haven't been feeling it.

However I wanted to point you in the direction of some friends of ours.  They are a fabulous family who are about to embark on a missions trip to New Zealand and are trying to raise the money they need to get there.  They are leaving pretty soon here and still have a ways to go, but their incredible faith that God will get them there is inspiring.

So go check out their story by clicking on this link to their blog.  Consider donating, praying for them, and/or cheering them on!

A link I HAD to share with you

I recently blogged about Facebook.  In that post I ranted about how it drives me nuts when people refuse to use punctuation, or halfway decent spelling and grammar.  This is also the post in which I spelled "grammar" wrong each and every time.

I am not the grammar/spelling police, and make PLENTY of mistakes myself, but sometimes people can be a little ridiculous.

One of my fellow bridesmaids recently posted a link containing the best obnoxious responses to misspellings on Facebook, and I nearly died laughing at some of the responses.  It was so great I had to share it with you!

Click here, but prepare to be horrified.

Wishful.... Thursday?

A day late and a dollar short, but here goes!

I wish I could make steak as well as my in-laws do... yummy!

I wish I could snuggle with my kids all day!

I wish DQ Blizzards were good for me.

I wish Caribou (coffee) would deliver!

I wish I had a teleportation device... that would be awsome.

I wish all interviews were as much fun as the one I just had.  It's nice when you just "click" with people.

I wish I had more wine... oh wait, I do!  Time to sit back and relax!

Random Things

Monday evening I couldn't find my purse.

Tuesday morning I found it in the dishwasher.

It drives me crazy when I'm reading a good book that involves multiple story lines in different places, and just when something huge is happening... they jump to another story line.  Keeps me going though and I suppose that's the point of suspense.

Pictures from the wedding are turning up on facebook.  Some of them are flattering, some of them are weird, some of them are horrifying.

The wedding was fun, I think they should get married again this weekend.

It's hot out. But that's ok because I prefer the 90's over below zero temps.

I hate being cold.  I love that I don't have to be cold anymore!

My new favorite popcorn is "Pop Secret homestyle".  It tastes the most like homemade and has the best ratio of salt and butter that I've found in a bag.

Babies are adorable and cuddly and wonderful.  But not when they barf 6 ounces of formula/breastmilk all over you.  Not complaining really though, it's part of the job, and I know the baby didn't like it one bit either.

I'd rather have baby barf on me than grown-up barf.

I love summer, and I think this is going to be a pretty great one!

Also, today is mine and Spencer's 8 year wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Spence!

The Big Day

Spencer's sister married an amazing man on Friday.  We all love him, he's been like a brother for a LONG time now, so we were pretty excited for them to tie the knot!

I charged up my camera battery so I could take lots of pictures on the big day.  Turns out though that when your whole family of 5 is in the wedding, it's really hard to remember to take pictures or take them when you get the chance.  Once the reception got going I could have carried my camera around and snapped some photos but I was having much too much fun running around talking to people and dancing to stop and take pictures.

I did however want to show you the shots that I did get.  Mostly because my kids are so adorable that I just die when I look at them, then I come back to life so I can look at them some more.

First dance as husband and wife. The bride was stunning!

I love the father-daughter dances.

That's all I have for pictures.  The wedding was beautiful and it was such a wonderful evening!

Congratulations newlyweds!
